Using the Owner field
Many people submit requests into Remedy that will be handled by themselves,
and therefore they do not wish to receive the email/notifier notifications.
Located at the top of the Request Manager schema, you will find a Radio
button field entitled 'Owner:'. It's default value is 'No'.
To disable the notifications, you should select the 'Yes' option.
This will prevent nearly all of the notifications from being generated,
with the following exceptions;
-
The assignee will still be notified if someone else modified the request.
-
The assignee will be notified if a previously released/rejected request
is reopened.
-
Notifications will be sent if the request is reassigned.
If the request is reassigned, the 'Owner:' field will be reset to
'No'. Thus reactivating the notification generation. |
