Subject: Rollover Image Bug DreamWeaver Date: Fri, 07 May 1999 09:38:57 +0200 From: tcallagh Organization: CERN To: Doreen Klem , Francois Briard , Laure Esteveny CC: James Purvis , Per Gunnar Jonsson Hi all, One major problem that I have noticed recently, whilst using DreamWeaver, is that there is a very persistent bug reoccurring within the WebEDH site. This is the MM_swapImage not being defined. The MM_swapImage not defined means that the rollover images on the side of the web page, most noticeable on the WebEDH homepage, does not work and gives a JavaScript error whenever a change seems to be made to the over all site. This is a major problem and requires constant checking and maintenance until the root cause of this problem is found and eradicated. I assume the problem is not related to just this site, but I am not sure. Unfortunately I can`t find the true cause of this problem, but I have found a temporary solution to the problem. To fix this bug I usually take the following steps. Load DreamWeaver Load WebEDH Site Edit pages where rollover images are used Delete rollover images Re-insert the images again Test using preview mode Re-publish site Although this can be done in about 30 mins it is still a very annoying problem. Can you help? Thanks Tom
