History:I started in CERN as a six-month technical student from Strathclyde University in 1989 in SPS division. I worked mainly on communications software (the LX package) which was used by the LEP Page one display. In 1990 I returned as a fellow in the newly renamed SL division for nearly two years working on embedded systems for beam instrumentation. Projects that I have worked on are BOsc, BOM, and LEP BCT. In 1992 I left CERN to work for the Superconducting Super Collider (SSC) project in Dallas where I worked in the communications group of the Controls department writing device drivers for high-speed network interfaces. In 1994 U.S. congress closed down the SSC project, and I was lucky enough to return to CERN, this time working working on EDH. Personal Home Page:None. |
