An informal meeting was held very recently at CERN under the initiative
of Sun Microsystems. The objective for SUN was to present their
concept of "SUN Java Center" (Gland) and evaluate potential Java
software collaborations with CERN projects.
During this meeting, James, Marine and Marc Vanden Eynden realized
that an interesting step would be to bring together CERN teams actively
involved in Java operational developments in order to :
- evaluate how we could share experience, designs and packages
- how we could request a central Java support at CERN
- discuss our doubts, questions and more ...
