SMT Recruitment Editor

HRT WelcomeSMT OverviewBasic ConceptsBase DataContract DataCosting DataRecruitmentReports

RecruitmentIf basic recruitment of the "replace this person when he leaves" style is not sufficient, then you can instruct SMT to do more complicated recruitments in the Recruitment Editor.

Two Types of Recruitment

With the recruitment editor there are two basic types of recruitment that you can do.

  • Recruitment where you use a existing person a "template person" such that the new recruit will inherit the basic attributes (costing etc...) from this person.

  • Recruitment where you enter the basic attributes of the recruited person manually.

You can also combine both options such that you start off with a template person but override specific attributes.

Below we will show how to proceed in both cases.

Using The Recruitment Editor

As in the other SMT editors such as Contract Editor and Costing Editor, when you open the editor you have the possibility to enter the area which you wish to focus on. Clicking the Refresh icon without entering any filter criteria will show all special recruitments that you have entered for the given simulation.

Note that only recruitments entered using the editor will be shown. The recruitments generated via the simulation parameters, by using the Base Data Editor or from posts published in eRT, will not be shown.

Below is an example of how the recruitment editor looks like.

Recruitment Editor

In order to create a new recruitment, click on the New icon in the toolbar. A new form, where you can enter all the data for the new recruitment, will appear. Notice that indicating a template person is not mandatory. However if a template person is not indicated, the working hours, salary position, organic unit and budget code fields are mandatory. The number of posts for the new recruitment and the start date are always mandatory. If an end date is not filled in, the standard rules for the chosen type of contract will be used.

If you want to edit an existing recruitment, select the recruitment line and then click the edit icon in the toolbar. You can also use the contextual menu that appears after right clicking the selected line. A form will appear and you can modify any of the existing values. To confirm the entered data press the enter key or click in the ok button.
